Can I look up how to make a surf board?

Nothing has changed with our O. He will be an artist of some sort there is no doubt in my mind. The latest project is a surf board, clearly inspired by our trip to Kauai. He is currently working on the model version along with the logo for "Hipps Boards".

In addition to enjoying the ocean, we also loved going for walks and hikes, jumping in the pools, building sand castles and relishing many delicious meals (including Easter brunch at the Hyatt - YUM!). The first day we were there, we came upon a sea turtle basking in the sun on the beach near our villa. Pretty amazing!

A-LOOOOO-HA!

So its been awhile...moving on...

We went to visit my grandma in Kauai at the end of March and into April. To say it was amazing is a complete understatement. We had so much fun playing in the ocean, exploring the island, eating shave ice and ice-cream,  relaxing together and visiting my grandma. What a treat and such a gift.

I was really surprised at how comfortable the boys became in the waves. I started the trip thinking we would be at really calm beaches and snorkeling the whole time. While we did quite a bit of snorkeling, it was often paired with time on the boogie board and even a surf board one day. We took it easy and were very careful, however the boys proved me wrong and loved the big surf, too.

Here's a few photos of them enjoying the ocean. More of the rest soon...just no guarantees of how soon...
