Rainbow Chicken

Tricia is out of town for the weekend with her dear friends Lindsay and Tracy.  Last night they started their  journey to Dover so they could wake up early and take a ferry to northern France for the day.  We can't wait to hear about their travels when they return on Monday.

Didn't think you were going to get family blog posts while she was away?!?  Think again - I am taking over the controls for a few days...

Owen, Walter, and I spent the day out and about in Hove.  With no car, we decided to walk down to the Hove library.  Walter was anxious to pick up the 2nd book in the series of "Mr. Gum".  Last weekend (after visiting the Brighton Jubilee Library), he ripped through all 150 pages of the first Mr. Gum book.  He is going to be a constant reader like his Great Grandma Donna and Grandma Joanne.

Owen selected books on craft projects, puppet making, and drawing.  After a quick scan of the puppet book, he chose a project which required a walk to the local art store to get some special materials.  After returning home, we immediately got to work. We hope you enjoy the results:

After the puppet making project we chowed down on a big batch of homemade Indian Curry for dinner and are now settling down with popped corn and the Muppets movie.  Movie nights with dad include a little bit of extra butter on the popped corn.
